Trees teach us a lot about life, branching out, reaching up, bowing down, and looking up. I love to stand at the bottom of a tree and look up. It shows there is such a greater force than myself and the awesomeness excites me. Below are two versions in my newly explored technique of contemporary printmaking. In the beginning I convert a watercolor and photo in photoshop layers and then make a 4 color hand printed lithograph on a printing press. Each one has subtle differences, making them unique unto themselves. Here are only a few, with more to come as I continue to experiment with this wonderful technique.
All of the lithographs are are approximately 11”h x 16”w and the watercolors are 22” x 15” horizontal or vertical, without frame. The photos with watercolor layer are 8.5’ x 11’ or whatever size desired.
The first three lithographs are printed from a combination of photography and a layer of National Geographic Citrasolve experiments.
